Chimney Lifted and Pushed Laterally
This chimney had both settled vertically and laterally (as you can see from the gap between the bricks and the siding). Using two Atlas Resistance Piers, we permanently stabilized the chimney, preventing any further movement. However, the homeowner let us know that part of his expectation was that we rotate the chimney laterally and "straighten it out." Using a series of hydraulic jacks manifolded together to activate the lateral braces seen in the image above, while simultaneously activating the jacks on the resistance piers, we were able to safely and effectively push the chimney back to its original position.
